The Town of Willington contracted with Municipal Valuation Services LLC (Munival) of Fairfield, CT to conduct the state mandated revaluation project for the 10/1/2024 Grand List.  The process started in the spring of 2024 with the mailing of data mailers to property owners.  Property inspections and data verification was conducted by phone, email and in-person from June - September 2024.  As part of this process, Municapal Valuation Services had data collection personnel assigned throughout the Town of Willington taking exterior photos, inspecting, and measuring the exterior and listing interior features of residential and commercial properties.  Notices of the new assessments were mailed December 20, 2024.  Informal hearings were held in the second week of January 2025.

January 30, 2025:  If you had an informal hearing with the Municipal Valuation Services staff at the beginning of January, you will be mailed second notices by February 3, 2025. 

The Assessor's Office has been granted a one month extension to complete the Grand List.  The deadline to file an appeal with the Board of Assessment Appeals has been extended to March 20, 2025. 

December 20, 2024:  Preliminary notices of new assessments were mailed to the address on record.  See the file attachments at the bottom of this page for more detail.

August 26, 2024:  Inspections began the week of beginning August 19, 2024.  If you want an inspection of your property and did not indicate so on data mailer returned to Munival, call (203) 292-5500 to schedule one for a daytime time slot.  If you need a weekend or early evening appointment, please let the schedulers know.  They will take your information and let you know the days available.

The four inspectors working in town, and their vehicles, are:

1. Ian Desjardins: he drives a Ford F-150 (WHITE) with CT marker plate AY07932
2. Joseph C Ferraro: he drives a 2017 Toyota Camry (WHITE) with CT marker plate AY95434
3.  Sonya Lampo: she drives a 2016 Fiat 500X (SILVER) with CT marker plate AY-70441
4.  Aaron Desjardins:  he drives a 2014 Nissan Frontier C (BLACK) with CT market plate 5CM-740

All Munival employees have a company (Munival) badge on them and a signed letter of introduction from First Selectman and the Assessor. They will also have magnets on their vehicles as well as company logo on their attire. July 8, 2024:  Data mailers have been sent to all residential property owners.  Note that outbuildings and other structures detached from the main house are not separately listed on the Data Mailer.  You may verify the outbuildings on your property by checking with our office or going online to  https://gis.vgsi.com/WillingtonCT/ and typing in your address.  Scroll down to the Outbuildings section to see what is listed. 

Postcards were mailed July 3 - 5, 2024 to property owners on the initial list of properties to be inspected.

Announcement - 2024 Revaluation is Underway
