Meet Titus.... Willington's #1 Dog!

Titus number 1

Titus is a 114lb Great Pyrenees mix who is around 11 years old.  Titus's DNA Test showed him to be 50% Great Pyrenees, 25% Lab, 12.5% Akita and 12.5% Miniature Pinscher!!!

As noted by his owner, Tara Kelly;  Titus's prior life, before moving to Willington was not the best.  He was found as a stray in rural Alabama and rescued by Big Fluffy Dog Rescue.  His body was filled with birdshot and buckshot as he had been used as target practice.  His owners later found out that he also had a luxated lens in his eye due to blunt force trauma, so he is blind in one eye.  A member of Titus' family  described him as "the Walking Dead" and thought he wouldn't live long when they first adopted him.

The reason we picked Titus to be this year's #1 dog is because we learned that he is a certified therapy dog and despite his past, he loves to work as a therapy dog.   He loves working so much, when Tara brings his working vest out, he dances around!   Tara said he loves to work with children - especially in libraries and schools.   How can you NOT love this big fluffy guy?!?

Tara states when Titus is not working, he enjoys a nice snooze on the couch and begging for anything his dad makes on the grill.  There was also mention of him counter-surfing an entire Seafood Casino pizza from Willington Pizza! A very smart dog, indeed!

Titus is a true diamond in the "ruff" who now shines as a resuce - turned Bright and Beautiful therapy dog.

Please join us in Congratulating Titus for earning this year's #1 tag!
