WPRD Summer Programming Update

Summer Programming Update

WPRD has been keeping up with the state's executive orders as well as the recommendations from our local and state health departments to determine how and if we could move forward with our summer programming. We have weighed every option out there and unfortunately, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel Summer Camp, Concerts-in-the-Park, and the opening of Hall’s Pond.

We will continue to monitor the executive orders as they are released so that we can open up our playground, outdoor fitness area, basketball and volleyball courts, and athletic fields as soon as it is deemed safe to do so. If at all possible, we are hoping to provide some smaller group activities for July and August. So be on the lookout!

In the meantime, our parks and trails remain open and should be used responsibly. Please remember…
•Stay home if you are sick or do not feel well.
•Use social distancing and maintain at least six feet between individuals in all areas of the park.
•Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
•Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
•Use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
•Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

We sincerely hope to see you all out and about very soon!
