D. Schreiber called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.

Election of Officers

M.D’Amato informed the Board that that a new chair needed to be appointed given the resignation of T. Gutowski and the D.Schreibers new term. 

P. Lord made a motion to nominate P. Lord as co-chair with D. Schreiber. M. Drobney seconded the motion. Unanimous all in favor.

IW-20-8 Wetland application for Timber Harvest at 0 Lohse Road (Map 51 Lot 016 0A) 33.33 Acres Applicant: Daniel Donahue

TH-20-2 Selective Timber Harvest at Lohse Road (Map 51 Lot 016 0A) 33.33 Acres Applicant: Daniel Donahue

IW-20-9 Wetland Application for new barn at 160 Willington Hill Rd (Map 13 Lot 029) Owner/Applicant: Edward Dagata 

M. D’Amato spoke about applications IW-20-8 and TH-20-2 where he and A. Stephens went for a site walk. He showed the map of the property that was submitted with the application to show the Commission the land. He then spoke about where the wetlands are and where the applicant would like to put a crossing. M. D’Amato stated that the applicant is performing this timber harvest to regenerate the land and keep the health of the forest, not for personal benefits. 

There was discussion between the Commission members and M. D’Amato about the property and the crossing. 

P. Lord made a motion to approve IW-20-8 Wetland application for Timber Harvest at 0 Lohse Road (Map 51 Lot 016 0A) 33.33 Acres Applicant: Daniel Donahue with the condition that he follow all  BMP’s. 

M. Drobney seconded motion. All in favor. Application approved.

P. Lord made a motion to approve TH-20-2 Selective Timber Harvest at Lohse Road (Map 51 Lot 016 0A) 33.33 Acres Applicant: Daniel Donahue with the condition that the applicant is following CT’s BMP’s.

M. Drobney seconded the motion. All in favor. Application approved.

M. D’Amato stated that because Ed Dagata was not present for the meeting tonight, the Commission can schedule a special meeting to proceed with their application or proceed with the application at the next meeting. 

P. Lord stated that application IW-20-9 Wetland Application for a new barn at 160 Willington Hill Rd (Map 13 Lot 029) Owner/Applicant: Edward Dagata will be tabled until the September 2020 meeting. The applicant will need to be present to discuss this application, provide a more detailed site plan, and answer the commissions’ questions. Staff will look for anything from previous applications for this property.

Old Business:

 M. D’Amato stated that the Timber Harvest Regulations are at the commissioner's office to be signed. We have to send something to the office for them to review and sign. He also stated we need to put a word out to look for more Commission members or find another way to conduct business.

Approval of minutes

D. Schreiber stated there are a few typos from 2/24/2020 minutes that should be fixed before submitted. 

P. Lord made a motion to approve the 2/27/2020 IWWC meeting minutes with editorial changes to paragraph four and five on the first page and others as necessary. D. Schreiber seconded the motion.

M. Drobney abstained because he was not present for the meeting. D. Schreiber stated that it carries with a 2 to 1 vote.
