ARPA Commission Update

Dear Willington Residents:

The last regular meeting of the ARPA Commission was on Monday, 5/7/2022.  At that meeting, a decision was made to move several funding requests on to a Public Hearing, which is the step that must be taken before the ARPA Commission will take action on a request.  That meeting will be held on Monday, July 11 from 6:30-9PM, continuing to Thursday, July 14 at 6:30PM if more time is necessary.  Citizens can attend in person at the Town Office Building (upstairs conference room) or virtually via zoom.

Everyone is encouraged to attend and participate to let the ARPA Commission know how the community feels about each of these funding requests totaling $726,170.07:

To date, $1,172,417.00 of the $1,735,454.22 allocated for Willington has been appropriated.  All of the projects coming to Public Hearing on 7/11/22 cannot be approved for full funding by the ARPA Commission because there are not enough funds to cover them all.  For this reason, the funding request submissions have been paused until further notice.
